CECILIA “CES” ROSALES

Ces Rosales
CECILIA ROSALES, better known by most of her friends and colleagues as “Ces,” is an elected delegate from the 14th Assembly District to the California Democratic Party. She is a member of the CDP Women’s Caucus and the Progressive Caucus and has served on the board and was the nominations chair of the National Center for Lesbian Rights. Ces is currently on the Executive Committee and is the Communications Coordinator for the Wellstone Democratic Renewal Club.

Ces has a long history of grassroots organizing work that began as a student activist in the Philippines against the Marcos dictatorship. She immigrated to the Bay Area in the mid-80s and continued her passionate pursuit of social justice through international solidarity work, class and race, labor, women, immigrant and lesbian and gay rights issues.
